Revelations!

Guess who scored a hat-trick last night?

Most people would say Theo Walcott. Yeah, okay, I'm happy for him. He's a good looking lad laden with talent, he's in Arsenal, and he's not as much as dick as the rest of the players in the England squad... yet. England improved tremendously loads, playing quite an exciting game against a hapless Croatia (that isn't the Croatia I remember. What the hell happened, Bilic?). I know because I caught the second half--the only match they aired on Football Channel.

Anyway, I edited a few pics here and there in celebration :)

France played well beyond expectations too. Nasri was dropped again (I just made a new acronym: FUD, which stands for F U DOMENECH, since I think I'd be using it a lot. Anyway. FUD!), but Gourcuff started. In the center midfield. Playmaker. And he was plain brilliant. Anelka and Henry made it a 2-1 victory, and Domenech can rest easy (he's still breathing on borrowed time) for at least a while until the next match. Amazing to see France not stumbling their way through a match. Still disappointed about Big Benz--he doesn't seem to be able to find his best form while donning Les Bleus jersey, and it's the otherwise for Govou, Anelka (okay fine, his club form is increasingly better too) and Henry.

Yes. If there's one thing Rayray's gotten right, it's Gourcuff. His prettiness talent shall lead Les Bleus to glory!

Germany made bookmakers cry, since they drew 3-3 against Finland (who has that frikkin' 2.02 m tall striker). Tasci and Westermann were a mess. Podolski was practically invisible. The game has to be horrible, since Germany is third in UEFA ranking and Finland... well. A draw. 3 goals conceded. Enke, what the hell?

3 goals scored. Who scored them?

Anyway, the next person who scored a hat trick last night was none other than captain Miroslav Klose. I didn't expect this at all! I thought with his form, okay, maybe he could score one, assist one, you know, make his way slowly to his old goal-bursting form. And he was the only bright spark in the entire German team! So critics now can STFU. He can lead, he can score, 'kay? In fact, if he was a little bit luckier, he could have grabbed a fourth at last minute, or a fifth, that was saved superbly. And he missed a free kick too -.-

So what have we learnt? Trust in Klose could never be misplaced (even though it might take him half a year).

Third hat-trick for the night went to Zvjezdan Misimović of Bosnia-Herzegovina during their 7-0 win over Estonia.

Who? x) (I copy and pasted that name; couldn't spell it too).

After a quick search through Google, I found out he's German-born, and he plays for Wolfsburg in Bundesliga. Apparently, he's one of the most creative midfielders in Bundesliga. He even used to play for Bayern.

Yeah, I know: shame on me :X

Woo-hoooo. Three hat-trick in just one night. That is an exciting start to the SAWC10!

What have we truly learnt today? Pretty boys always get the hat-trick!
