i spy with my little eyes...

blahi realised that while i often miss the big pictures, i'm too preoccupied with the smallest details around me.
1.
saw a small fleck of purple i mistook as tissue or scrap paper and when it floated closer, i realised that it was a small purple butterfly. a dying purple butterfly. flapped its wings once, twice, but it couldn't stop its descend towards the ground. the wind blew and it fell and tumbled on the gravel; it struggled to get up, still toyed around with the wind, and became still.
... no significant meaning behind this, but i guess it's just one of those small unexpected things life throws at us sometimes.
2.
i was about to use this machine after treadmilling when i realised some guy was using it (the conveniences of public gym!). and then he stood up, flexed his bulging biceps and i rushed over to shift the weight and he stopped me.
"mfhkadfkjdhfkjadhf", he said in a deep and very very accented voice.
i cocked my head. "uh-huh, yeah."
"i'm still using it," he said in a much slower tone.
"oh!" i stepped away. "i'm so sorry!"
...
the guy had klose's current haircut! and same hair color too.
and he's obviously european. probably french or german (based on his face and accent)--there are lots of them around my place anyway.
anyway. the klose-hair.

(so the picture above was kinda misleading; had nothing much to do with the machine but more with klose-hair. maybe i shoulda put a picture of klose instead).

do you know that there is such thing as a height decline trend since the 19th century due to our increasing affluency and our increasingly appealing choice in nourishment?
yeah, just to let you know that i'm not alone in this shortening generation!

anyway, i measured my height today.
still no miracle i hoped for.
and it's not helping now that i'm running somewhat regularly since running is an impact sport that shortens you.
do you think they have a fengshui combination to enable someone to grow tall as quickly as possible?
